These Lying Times......Government Curriculum Affects Homeschoolers

In 1994, we experienced the completed take-over of public schools by the Federal Government, eliminating state and local control as regarded curriculum taught. Before 1994, the groundwork had been laid and this writing will not encompass all the steps gradually accomplished in getting us prepared for this takeover. Neither will it be of much detail, but it will advise of the existence of a control over our children that is in the hands of those who are unelected, not accountable to parents, nor even accessible by most state educators and legislators, and who have but one motive in mind. That motive, based on a Humanist, collectivist, communtarian ideolgy employs a methodology using school curriculum to change society in order to affect a change in government. It's results will be the transformation of America as we knew it. It intends the destruction of 'old' values and ideas and the embracing of the new. It plans the transition of attitudes that will more readily adapt
to a new world order, where a world government controls an obedient and subservient human resource. Human resource is just another more polite politically correct, less alarming term for "slaveworker." As long as we are considered a human asset we have a value; when we are sick, elderly, or incapacited and no longer an asset....well, let your imagination take you down that road in your child's future. Some very evil people determine what children are being taught and how it is being taught. Chances are most local teachers and administrators are not even aware of the extent to which they are used to advance these objectives that are intended to prepare children all over the world to think alike and perceive a world government in the exact same way. Unfortunately, those few who do know and understand have been influenced to accept that the bending and blending of children's thinking and values in a way to prepare them for a new world in their tomorrow is the proper thing to do.

Homeschoolers cannot escape the influences of the federal curriculum, as neither can private and Christian schools. I am reminded of the way in which the government curriculum ignores our 2nd Amendment and also how Congress recently dealt with an issue regarding gun manfacturer's liability for misuse of a firearm. Seemingly a good bill, but hidden in the fine print was a first step toward controlling ammunition. After all, what better way to marginalize the rights of gun ownership than to eliminate or strictly control ammunition. Add to this that children are not even going to be aware that gun ownership is a right and you have eliminated the 2nd Amendment simply by ignoring it. The government curriculum spells out what are our rights and in doing so they ignore those in the constitution not to their liking, such as the 2nd Amendment and the Bill of Rights.

Just as controlling ammo effectively controls exercise of the 2nd Amendment, controlling testing controls curriculum. Since government controls the tests, teachers must teach for the test. If homeschoolers desire entrance to the better colleges, or need to meet test
score requirements for the better career jobs, they must be able to provide the acceptable answers to the government tests. How do they meet these requirements and score well on tests that ignore the core curriculum that Christians and concerned parents have instilled in their children? Thus, parents are motivated to use the same texts provided for the government schools in order that their children may compete in colleges or career training and in the corporate world. Since much of this curriculum embraces diversity and multiculturalism; seeks to instill in the learner a set of values that is based on false premise and embodies false beliefs; and denies truth for relativity, the parent is faced with a perplexing pressure to balance these two mostly contradictory belief systems. These belief systems are basically a Christian worldview or a humanist worldview. They are in direct conflict with each other. They have to do with opposite sets of values. The homeschooled may well be better prepared for the basic needs of an independent person to embrace a system that promotes free enterprize, but what good is that in a socialistic system controlled by a totalitarian government? The homeschooled may well be the most appreciative of what our true history entails but those with whom they will be around, eventually, will consider them to be "not with it," "old-fashioned, not "with the times," and will be ostracized from the group.

The new curriculum is the more revised history that has been taught these last many years that was already corrupted and has been embellished in ways to advance the current ignorance of history prevalent in most people. Only now, it has a "theme" as has math, as has social studies, etc. That theme is the means of teaching the federal curriculum.
