These Lying Times....Discovering Truth and the Role of the True Believer
These Lying Times....Discovering Truth and the Role of the True Believer

The proper role of those trying to follow in the Footsteps of Jesus Christ seems little understood by those who think that they are, in fact, following His Teachings. So much Scripture has been distorted and taken out of context by those professing to be the earthly shepherds, it is little wonder that many are the deceived and many are confused. Irregardless, it is the duty of every individual who desires to live in Step with Him to study for themselves to be fully informed and to become aware of His Will in their lives. While we may vigorously pray for His Will in our lives, it can sometimes leave us perplexed and without that definition becoming all that clear. Often this is due to the fact that we simply don't study His Word as diligently as we should and we fail to understand how to apply what we find in our daily lives. Unfortunately, most leave it up to someone else to feed them from His Word and therein lies the problem. They do not receive the Truth. They receive man's ideas and man's word in substitute for His Absolute Truth. While He tells us that this will be so and that it will grow worse, and that we will want our ears tickled, we just don't think it means us; not my pastor, not me; not my favorite tele-vangelist, not anything contrary to what I've always known, (conventional wisdom), can be true. The Truth is often blantantly distorted or presented with the omission of much that would shed a different view on His Word and His Expectations of us. You can go to numerous churches of numerous denominations without ever understanding the role of the true Believer. By selective omission the Believer only hears the role that is defined by man's traditions along with a few sprinklings of Truth. For instance, give your 10%, (man's traditions), and give thanks unto the Lord, (Truth). The reason I note tithes as man's tradition is because that practice in the Old Testament, which was then a requirement of God in order to provide for the upkeep of the temple and priests, was not addressed by Jesus Christ as a requirement for the church under the new covenant, but man has continued the practice as if it were. Charitable giving is not represented by any particular amount, but rather as being any amount that you feel led by the Holy Spirit to give, and the purposes never once are indicated to be for the building of idols in which to gather. In fact, it appears that rather than the sick and needy being the priority of the church, it is the building and expansion of their 'human resources' and their real estate. There is certainly nothing wrong with a church fellowship joining together to erect a sanctuary for the purposes of worship and praise and from which the needs of the poor and sick in the community are addressed. We only have to consider the things important to Jesus Christ to know what our priorities should be. He addresses the plight of widows and orphans and the sick and needy. He extols the importance of holy matrimony. We could make quite a list, actually. One thing stands out thoughout, however. The Believer is supposed to be seen as different, but we don't see that in today's churches. That's why the secular world views Christians as hypocrites. According to Scripture, we are individually the church and we are individually accountable. Fellowship is presented as where even two shall meet in His Name. I can't help but think that He Views today's mega-churches with all their entertainment attractions and monied self indulgences to be anything but sacred. I can't imagine Him being pleased with the expenditures for huge structures and over-flowing coffers used for entertaining and marketing to attract all types of people into what is represented as His Church. What is the role of the Believer that is taught there? Frankly, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that many therein are non-Believers and have not a clue as to the role of the Believer, and whats more, they will most likely never know.
Man, Adam, was first created in His Image completely, without sin, and with all needs supplied, and with a wonderfully direct relationship with his Creator. He just was not God and he did not think of any need to become like God, but Adam destroyed all this, because he listened to someone else who had fallen for 'becoming like God.' It has been my experience that there are more women than men whose walk is closer to Him, but this is not the way it all started. When Adam fell, he took with him all who came after him and we are no longer in His Image. I know that many are those who teach that we are all made in the Image of God, but in our sinful nature, that can not so be. We have yet to be molded in His Image but we are being prepared in this sinful life among Satan's world for that day when he will make us pure enough to be with him and in His Image. We will still not be gods, although the Mormon Church says otherwise as do the New Age adherents. We aren't addressing pagan worshipers, earth and nature worshipers herein, but rather, just providing some food for thought for those who do indeed want to be in His Step. We can only become in His Image in eternity by His Grace for His Praise and Glory and so once again He can look over His Chosen and His Creation and say, "It is good." Regardless of all the feel good self esteem motivational preaching you hear, we are not 'good.' We can try our best and we will never be good enough. Yet, we are supposed to try to be good and because, as His 'followers/believers' we do sincerely try, God molds and uses and prepares us to be with Him. By no effort of our own can we redeem ourselves, not by works and not by being good enough. So, forget about all that feel good stuff and glean what truth you can from among it.
Then go study for yourself. The only feel good in the Bible is all you need and that is that the world is already defeated and you belong to the Winner. Beyond that the Bible is a book of history and prophecy offering a guide for us to learn His Expectations of us. We don't hear much about those expectations, other than those that can be soft to the ears. The reason we do not hear much about expectations is that they consist of some severe comfort-threatening requirements and will upset the status quo. That God expects us to live righteous lives may not sound too comfort-threatening, but when it is truely taught or learned that it comes with severe hardship, people will not flock to these Sunday social clubs. Living a righteous life among the unrighteous of society and of government won't make you well liked or enjoyed on this earth. Since we are bombarded with the idea that happiness is to be found in the pleasures of the world rather than in pleasing God, it takes a complete spiritual rebirth to change this perception of true happiness and it isn't going to happen in most churches of this day.
God played favorites. He Chose a particular people and His Rule of them was strict and demanding, yet it was also loving and kind, and time and again, He gave second chances and showed His Pleasure and His Sadness. God was/is an emotional God. We are told He is a jealous God, a wrathful God, vengeful and uncompromising. Yet, He was long-suffering and patient. Most Believers prefer the loving God and ignore the wrathful One as if they were two different Gods. And why shouldn't they? Many are the pastors displaying the Loving God and ignoring the need to fear God. Don't expect to find the complete Truth from your Bible thumping pastor, especially in a 501c3 incorporated state approved entity. One pastor told me he was called to preach only the Gospel and it was up to the people to use it and glean from it. Hogwash, I say. I suppose he never truely studied Paul's preaching. That pastor said that it wasn't up to him to tell people how to live. Can you believe that? I suppose that is better than the ones who do tell us how to live wrongly. Yes, it's a feel good about myself society and it is in the churches of today. We think we are hearing His Message simply by hearing Scripture quoted and if we don't leave the service with a sense of guilt, it was a great sermon. Basically, church is attended for entertainment, socializing, and a sense of doing what we're supposed to do. Add a few good works and we're home-free. Don't dare tell me I'm just a pitiful sinner and falling far short. Sing some praise songs and we've all done our part. Top it off with some good supper socials occasionally and we're in pig heaven. (No intent to slur pigs, or heaven). But that is what churches have become. God wants you to be happy. Yep, but happiness in His Sight is not the happiness in our sight, it doesn't appear to be to me. Where's the meat? I once told my pastor at the time, that when their 'eatin' meetin's' included a serious function or the planning of things that had to do with the Lord's Work, I would attend. Some nice people, but my Father's business didn't seem to be a part of it and I had better things to do.
The idea of two Gods, one mean and one loving is right out of Jesuit distortions and Freemasonry. You see, everything is counterfeited or reversed by Satan. Lucifer is the good god and Adonay is the mean god. That is the roots of Freemasonry, which worships the 'good' god, the god of light. But their god is Antichrist the counterfeit god. It is said by the very ones who ride the top ranks of Freemasonry that 95% of the membership is intentionally kept in darkness. The real secrets are kept by the 5%. The average member belongs to an organization that denies Christ at the top ranks and embraces all beliefs at the lower levels. No Mason can understand the role of the Believer and most are deceived. Of course, there are a lot of secret societies and all have in common that same thing.
The role of the true Believer has little to do with church-legion. Being an example is so much thought to be to attend some church regularly, tithe, give, be helpful, (some include don't cuss or drink), and act happy to be involved, and the real meaning of being an example has somehow been lost. Be seen as different? Live separate from this world? Who wants to be considered different? How do you live in this world and remain separate from it? You won't find the answer in any church that I know of and I don't know anyone that really wants the answer. The church that would embrace this knowledge would have to change completely and it would lose most all its' members. Can't have that; numbers are the name of the church game. That's what the purpose driven church agenda is all about. Numbers boil down to money and expansion, and more money and more expansion; activities and entertainment to appease all. Compete with the world on their level is what is going on. Just give it a religious slant with plenty of jive and feel good. Being an example for God is not taught in churches except as benefits the church and its' coffers. The role of the true Believer is not taught in church.
Spiritual warfare is not some fantasy of fanaticism. It existed before Adam. Lucifer wanted to be like God. Angels fell for his powers of persuasion. Eve fell for his seduction. The worship of Lucifer continues. Evil and good war constantly and are manifested in their use of man. During the founding of our nation, spiritual warfare is evident, but ' true' history has mostly obscured its' evidence. Some things cannot be obscured. For instance, the Supreme Court Building is patterned as a Roman temple. Greek gods and goddesses are the sculptored works that adorn most government buildings in D C. Christians like to point to the depiction of Moses and the 10 Commandments as proof of our Christian heritage. Yet, he is just one of 3 given equal space as the great lawgivers of past societies in history. At another location, Moses is listed along with 18 others. Yet, we know that there was a Christian influence, but more importantly, there was the influence of true Believers, without which the freedom to spread the Gospel would not have existed. The same freedom that allowed so greatly the works of evil to gain dominance, also allowed His Word to spread with the advent of the printing press and the KJV. The colonial Believers knew their roles and men of courage spoke Truth. These Believers were not obedient to government and were not taught obedience to anything other than to God. Today, men of cowardice preach obedience to government and ignore most all that is required in the role of a true Believer. Our politically correct churches march lockstep with government, state licensed, bowing to another master, seeking priviledges and exemptions, agreeing to free speech restrictions, and voluntarily acting as a tax collector for the government for their own paid offices in the church, supporting the beast and the abominations they are pledged to God to refute. With that example, how would their members, (Believers, anyway, if any), ever possibly learn what their role should be? Today, sound doctrine is confined to sacraments and rituals, and neither the civil disobedience of the Apostles, nor the revolutionary roles of the colonial Believers, are seen as examples to be followed. Perhaps it is of some signifigance that the capitol, Washington D C was planted in what was a piece of Maryland, (originally the catholic "Mary's Land"), as opposed to the first location, "the city of brotherly love," Philadelphia. Is that the real basis for a Christianity claim to our founding? Catholicism?
The role of the true believer cannot be found absent knowledge of God's Word and the Teachings of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church does not like the New Testament, nor the KJV. Their claim for the infalibility of the Pope and the need for a priesthood as intercessors are destroyed by them. Man's traditions cannot measure up to Truth. Most denominations still retain many of the practices and beliefs of Catholicism. Even Baptists have not been unaffected by the influences of Rome, unsuspecting though they are in their straying ways. I am persuaded that we have been unknowingly and incrementally molded in the ways of Rome ever since our founding. History does record that the Jesuits have been hard at work for hundreds of years to discredit Truth and then to alter the Truth of the KJV, having distorted the interpretations of same. Even if only it is a trickle down effect, it may well be why the apostate church now includes all churches. Even if today, it is only a Jesuit and /or a Masonic influence in government, churches are under the authority of that government. As a matter of irony, it is the freedom and liberty, justice and morality found in the Holy Bible that was followed in our founding in order to allow the forces of evil to flourish, just as it allowed the Gospel to spread. Spiritual warfare continues.
It is difficult to dispell preconceived notions of what Truth is. A recent survey of age 24 and under indicates that their trust in government has not diminished in spite of things such as the government's handling of Katrina. Why would there even be such a poll? Trust government? Unfortunately, such a misplaced trust is the source of our problems. We have a government of liars and thieves, deceiving us daily, but polls show our young adults trust them? I suggest that they are the products of government school and media brainwashing. Do you think any of them could possible be a true Believer, or could possibly know the role of same? Obviously they know not Truth.
We are repeating history. We are repeating the days of Noe. We are repeating the days of the Hebrews. We are repeating the days of the Roman Empire. We are repeating the days of Hitler's Germany. During those times the role of the true Believer was evident to many and many were persecuted because they refused to submit to the authorities; to a government that denied Jesus Christ. Today, government denial of Jesus Christ is as blantant as it is secretive. First we can readily see the steps taken by government over a period of the last 50 years to do just that, deny Jesus Christ. Secondly, we see that several in government do profess Jesus Christ with their mouths, notwithstanding that their fruits deem otherwise. Thirdly, we see that many are the professing to be Christian leaders who avidly support this government and those who are but liars within it. We can connect the dots between government, corporations, and Christianity all money related. Some very evil men have some very useful pawns. Personally, I don't think that any true Believer could be involved with the wickedness that is our government. How can a true Believer live his role properly, if he is a part of the socialism that robs his fellowman? These so-called Christians are fake believers. To think that one can make a difference by becoming a part of something evil is asinine. It is one thing to minister to the criminal in his jail or to the non-Believer in his own setting, but never ever are we given any inclination that Jesue would instruct His Followers to join a secular government, or a secret society, or a gang of thieves in order to try to change their behavior. Participate in evil in order to try to lessen the amount of evil? Government steals by the authority it grants to itself and for which any other would be incarcerated. That does not make right and a true believer trying to do right can not be involved with doing wrong. The ends do not justify the means. The role of the true Believer is to be separate from, not to be a part of.
The true Believer should be persecuted if he is following the Teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus has promised that the true Believer will be hated and persecuted for doing so. That persecution is readily available in America today. The reason that we don't see much of it is that so few are actually following that "narrow" road. It can seem rather ridiculous to most that anyone would simply make choices that insures that one's life encounters hardships and that they would risk all they have in possessions. Most lives have been spent trying to make ends meet or to accumulate wealth. To risk all, or make things worse, seems stupid to most people, regardless of the reason, and it certainly goes against the conventional wisdom of this day and time. It goes against what is taught in schools and in churches. For instance, we are told that we are to give unto Caesar what is Caesars and to God what is Gods. While we know that all belongs to God, it is Caesar's emblems on our coins and currency and of that, Caesar can take from us what he wants when he wants and he does. I consider our currency the currency of Antichrist, a money system that is straight from Satan. It's amazing how few understand it and have no idea what inflation really is. It's a way to tax the deceived and steal your earnings. We think our homes increased value year after year is a good thing, but when you can't replace it for less, it has actually lost value. Put your money in a fruit jar and a few years later it is worth far less. A dollar has never represented a dollar in purchasing power. We know why this is not going to be taught in government schools but where are the true believing preachers who expose this great theft by the banking interests. The colonial pastors knew their roles. They exposed the evils of government. There just aren't any bold and courageous pastors standing against this evil, or for that matter, any other evil. They may well teach against stealing and making false statements, but government gets a pass. They're afraid they'll make someone mad, or that government will not approve. They fear government more than they fear God. Of course most are themselves deceived and they are deceiving others. Like most of the outside world, the church has no shame and is fed only bits and pieces of Truth. Pay taxes you do not owe; cling to your social security number, support a killing government, which is killing the unborn here and innocents all over the world, support their corruption and abominations; all that and more is what the voice and silence of the church tells you. That's the role of the true Believer? As for giving unto Caesar, Jesus only caused the coin from the fishes mouth so Peter would not be a liar, his having said that his Master paid the tax, but it is used to justify our paying a tax that we do not even owe and cannot owe under the current constitution, yet our deceit is such that we will persecute anyone who acts upon this truth.
I suggest that if you think of yourself as a true Believer and you do not feel persecuted, something's wrong with your Walk. You are still too much of the world. You are bowing to another Master. You are supporting the Beast. You are feeding an Antichrist system. You are not standing firm against much of anything that is evil. You have never overcome self and the desire for the pleasures and possessions offered by the easier broad road. You have not discovered the joy of misery and the peace of tribulations found on the narrow road. You are partakers of the benefits of socialism, blind to it's thievery and deceit. You dare not practice civil disobedience nor do you refuse to submit to the demands of the beast system. You are a slave to the Antichrist system. You are only as free as you are willing to risk being free. When you truly understand what Jesus Teaches, only then will you find your role as a true Believer. Fortunately, you will also be prepared and know what to expect, and you will know where your trust is well-founded and where it is not. When you walk the Walk, you have not only the right, but the responsibility to tell others what you have learned.
Once truth is learned, it is not unlearned. Whether or not we act upon it is based upon understanding our role as a true Believer.
