These Lying Times....Obedience or Rebellion?

These Lying Times....Obedience or Rebellion?

Obedience to government is NOT obedience to God. Disobeying government is not the rebellion frowned on by God. Do you hear this from your state controlled church pulpits today? Of course not! Most likely what you do hear is that we are not to be in rebellion against government and that governments are appointed by God.

Obedience to government can only be obedience to God if government is in obedience to God. We don't have that in America or anywhere else in this world. Where is righteous government? It has never existed since God led Israel with His Prophets and Elders in abidance with and according to His Laws. His admonitions never precluded rebellion against unjust government. We are not forbidden to rise up against unjust government. In fact, it is expected of us. Our government is supposed to be accountable to us and it is our responsibility to see that it is in compliance with God's Laws and is in obedience to Him. Rebellion against God is evident by our lack of rebellion against unjust government. When we submit to government and look to government for our needs, we are recognizing neither the Authority of God, nor the authority we have over our government. We shirk our responsibility when we do not hold government accountable to us and when we allow government to become disobedient to God. God will hold us accountable for what we have created and for our failure to exercise diligence over it in obedience to Him. We are responsible for the actions of our government. Government exists only with the consent of the governed. It is up to us to see that our government is a just and Godly government. If that is a true statement, then it has to also be true that we are not in rebellion against God by being in rebellion against unjust unGodly government. Most ministers teach the exact opposite, which is ridiculous on its' face. They, like most Christians who recognize the ills of our politics, simply vote for the lesser of two evils, but that is still voting for evil. On the other hand, we see the ego-maniacal big name preachers supporting the very evil that permeates our government and they too are teaching us that rebellion against government is rebellion against God. Our lack of rebellion against this government is rebellion against God. My Bible tells me not to tolerate tyranny and that God is Sovereign and Supreme. Just as God has created us, He has allowed us to create government. He tells us what our government should be and it is up to us to insure that government abides by God's Laws. When we elect officials to represent us, we are giving them the authority to act for us, but we all still answer to the same Supreme Lawgiver. Any variance from God's Laws or violations thereof is direct disobedience to God. When those we have designated to act on our behalf fall away from obedience to God, it is our responsibility to remove and replace them.

Unfortunately, in today's world, the voting system is a disaster for the people. On a national level, we never have a choice that allows us to select leaders that are to serve us in ways that serve God. Choosing between a Communist socialist Democrat or a Fascist socialist Republican is not a choice. It's little more than getting to decide which one you want to lead you to the gas chamber. Whose poison do you prefer? The federal government has robbed us of our inheritance and does not protect our inalienable rights. The rights given by God are not to be denied of the individual and when government does so, we are compelled to resist, or we are not in compliance with the required obedience to God. When government is not obedient to God, we cannot consent to that government. It's just that simple. It is up to the people to dispose of government that is not obedient to God.

Government, to be in compliance with God's Laws, must protect that which God has granted the individual, which is life, liberty, and possessions, or property. When we allow government to usurp our authority over them, we are no longer in compliance with God's Will. Today, the federal government has taken from us and used what belongs to us to take control over even our local governments, contrary to God's Laws for man's government. By force, government has circumvented God's Will for us, by taking authority over us, making us slaves, and we have allowed this to happen. We serve government; government does not serve us. Government exercises control over us by force, and with taxation of all that we possess. This is not a God-given authority. God has given us the authority to make our government conform in obedience to Him and to attempt to do so is not rebellion against God. God only recognizes lawful authority and this has nothing to do with what government has made legal or illegal. It does have to do with our giving our authority to government and holding them accountable to be a lawful and just government. How they exercise the authority we give them to act in our behalf demands our constant scrutiny. Obviously, we have failed miserably and we are reaping the consequences of that failure.

The Roman Empire failed when it became over extended in its' military conquests and having to provide for a huge army. It failed when it over taxed its' people in order to maintain that military and its' conquered lands and continuing wars. It failed when it was overbuilding and overspending for all sorts of reasons, such as its' social services and for its' gladiator entertainment and recreation to placate the people and keep them distracted. However, the bottom line was the uncontrolled inflation, brought on by all the above, much like we have today in America and was also a result of the lessened value of their silver coins as they were made with less and less silver. Inflation is the greatest tax of all and it is a hidden tax.
Uncontrolled immigration afflicted the Roman Empire. The Roman Empire failed as its' morality fell. The wars that were fought by the Roman Empire encompassed the region where the United States finds itself today, Iraqi, Afghanistan, Iran, etc. We are indeed reliving history.

There was nothing Godly about the Roman Empire. While it was prosperous in its' early days of low taxation and lenient control of its' people, it became less and less just and eventually fell. America is following in those footsteps. Only if the people take away the authority they have granted government and return that authority to a government acting in obedience to God will we see a change in direction. We cannot be obedient to this government and obedient to God at the same time. We can only be obedient to one or the other, and to the one to which we are not obedient, we will by default, be in rebellion against.
