These Lying Times...."A Lot of Learning is a Dangerous Thing"
These Lying Times...."A Lot of Learning is a Dangerous Thing"

"A Little Learning is a Dangerous Thing", is a quote that I've heard most of my life. I do not recall the origin, if in fact I ever knew the source. I didn't really understand how profound that was when as a small child, I first heard it said. It was rather easy to see that if one embarked upon a task with only a partial knowledge of what was entailed, that person could cause a mess or even a disaster. It could be likened to just about anything in life; knowing how to take an engine apart, but not how to put it back together; knowing the best side of a politician, but not their real agenda; propaganda, but not the truth; God's Word, but not the Meaning, are some examples that come to mind. It applies to our relationships with others and to our perceptions about the world, our government, our schools, and even the insignificant. It applies to work and play. An electrician can't depend on little knowledge and be safe to himself or to others. A doctor can't provide reliable treatments ignorant of the side effects. What may cure, can also cause death. So, it is plain to see how a little learning can be a dangerous thing in many instances. I think I took that old quote seriously. Perhaps that is why I've been driven to study all my life and learn as much as possible. But, what about a lot of learning? Can that too, be a dangerous thing?
One cannot live long enough to reach a time when he can set back and say with any satisfaction that he knows all he wants to know or needs to know. That is, if he has any more motivation than an amoeba. Unfortunately for the cause of learning in order to be free, and fortunately for a government intent upon enslaving a people, government schools, by design, stifle learning, except as it benefits them. A little learning is good for them, but dangerous to the future generations and their perceptions of what is freedom. A lot of learning is considered dangerous by government. It is dangerous to their hold upon society and to their rule over that society. It is dangerous to the learned individual; to their future; to their health, even to their life. Government must control and manipulate learning, and limit learning, if it is to survive in it's desired existence. A lot of learning can be a dangerous thing. Only the elite in government, particularly those in secret societies are allowed to have a lot of learning and even that is a particular type of learning. Those outside of these organizations are considered a threat if they have a lot of knowledge that has not been programmed by these same elite.
A little learning, a knowledge generally based on what we are told, allows government to have their way with little resistance. If we accept what they tell us about vaccines, for instance, we feel good that they are offering these sometimes free to pre-schoolers and even the flu shots to seniors. However, if we have a lot of learning and know that there is a sinister agenda behind this, that vaccines can have severe side affects and even cause the disease they are said to prevent, and that, often they lower resistance in the immune system, we are perceived a threat if we make this known. Currently in Northwest Georgia is an experiment with the drive-by shooting of vaccines and flu shots. That's right, just drive up, do the paper work, get shot, never have to get out of your car. How easy can it get? A little learning is a dangerous thing to those who go for this, but a lot of learning is dangerous to both government and to those who know too much and try to expose the real agenda.
History recalls the deaths of many who knew too much. A lot of learning on their part meant they had to be silenced. Often they were those who were originally participants who for one reason or another became perceived to be threats because of their knowledge. Perhaps they were having second thoughts, about to expose the others, or just considered a weak link. Mysterious deaths followed the JFK assassination, the Bill Clinton saga, Microbiologists who worked on various projects aimed at biological warfare and terrorism, and the list goes on. So many names associated with those who knew too much and those circumstances would make volumes of books. A lot of learning can quickly reap dire consequences from a government of criminals, if that learning is perceived to be a threat to them. A little learning is also dangerous, but it can get you more time. That time is given as long as you can be considered useful and no threat. In other words, if you are willing, whether by ignorance or apathy, to be led over the cliff, all the while paying your own way and providing tribute to your masters, bowing appropriately, having little learning buys time.
A little learning has cost a lot of investors in the stock market. Even Christians are wringing their hands agonizing over their losses. A lot of learning might have made them more wealthy in other ways, but to know what government is doing to cause their grief might be too much knowledge for government to tolerate.
That's why their contingency plan includes concentration camps, foreign troops on American soil and our own military being trained to cope with unruly civilians who come to know too much.
A little learning can mean you worship the wrong god, the consequences of which are known to even the most unlearned Believer. However, even the Believer can find that a little learning is a dangerous thing when God Judges. A lot of learning by studying His Word and applying it to everyday life is a threat to the status quo of both government and to others of little learning. When a Believer is comfortable in this world he either is of little learning, and in danger of God's Wrath, or he is of a lot of learning and has found comfort in Jesus Christ, in spite of the uncomfortable world. Those of a little learning can be found setting comfortably in church pews most Sundays, or Sabbaths, listening to sermons that keep them in their comfort zones. It has been called "ear candy." A little learning can be dangerous to your hereafter. A lot of learning may be dangerous and insure persecution here, but it can insure a glorious hereafter. Choose ignorance or choose to study diligently. Choose this day whom you will serve, applies to every day on earth. A little knowledge keeps you in a bondage of the world; a lot of knowledge can shed that bondage. Eventually destroyed by a lack of knowledge, or eventually destroyed by a lot of knowledge; the first will reap punishment and the latter will reap rewards for the true Believer. A little learning or a lot of learning; both can be dangerous things.
