These Lying Times....The Missing Church ( Part 3 )

Seeking the missing Church seems almost futile in today's America, but it wasn't always like this. Historical evidence of the Church that preached the Word of God can be found by looking for its' influence upon government and society. For over a hundred years in early America, the Bible was the basis for education. First used in homes to teach reading and moral values, the Bible was also the basis for early school textbooks, such as the New England Primer and later the McGuffey Reader. In time, as the salt lost it savor, The Bible was replaced with Godless indoctrination in government schools of learning. Somewhere along the way the Church with the Word of God had gone missing. Coincidentally, the ensuing education of America's youth produced a society that can't pass a grade school exam from that era, while God's Word became shunned in both the workplace and in government in addition to schools. As a result, Truth and morality were sacrificed, being replaced with relativism and humanism, producing the most poorly educated and immoral youth in the world. Without the true Church, there is no restraint against evil.
A very obvious and abrupt decline in morality occurred immediately following the banning of prayer in government schools. Over the next few years, teen age pregnancies drastically increased, as did divorces, as well as a dramatic increase in crimes. The new age of sex, drugs, and violence, beget an increase in venereal disease and teen age deaths. Abortion became acceptable. Vulgarity and profanity became the norm. Movies and music depicted sex and drugs and profanity as acceptable. The Church preaching the Word of God had obviously gone missing or was effectively neutralized. Coincidentally, grades such as SAT scores took a nosedive immediately following and for several years after the court took prayer out of schools. At about the same time, curriculums began to ignore founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence, which recognizes that our rights come from God. You just can't allow a Creator God in a humanist environment that denies God as the source of anything. It should not be overlooked that Communism exerted a tremendous influence in America and eliminating the influence of the Church was necessary for Socialism / Communism to thrive. Communism greatly neutralized the influence of the church and that evidence can still be seen today. Communism is not dead. It is very much alive and growing.
Government has greatly benefited from how it likes to see God's Word used, but it is not the Truth of the Word that is acceptable to them. It is a distorted version that deceives people into believing such things as was mentioned in Part 2, that government is ordained or appointed by God. Another benefit is how patriotism is viewed. By using God along with Country and the Constitution as being synonymous with being a good Christian, government is enabled to make patriotism an appeal to God's People to make government at least equal to God, a form of idolatry, as if two masters can be equally served. Willingness to die for one's country is made to seem a Christian obligation which has seen Christian parents willingly send their children off to war for whatever reason is determined necessary by government. Patriotism has been the means by which government can wage war for the most un-Christian reasons as history has often exposed. The missing Church knew that God was the only Authority over them and they exerted this influence in a great way, as was seen in the founding of our nation. We don't see that influence in America anymore. Today, the church serves government's best interests, some due to deception, a few out of fear, but most do so because they have not rightly divided the Word of Truth and have a believed a lie. Today, government depends upon pastors to keep their congregations submissive and obedient to government, and yes, patriotic. The missing Church was at the forefront in the fight against King George, a time when patriotism was really about freedom and not about conquest. Wonder what they'd think of what the government has now become, that they unwittingly helped install with a man made constitution. It should be noted that most were against replacing the Articles of Confederation with a Constitution and for good reason.
There was a time when the Church or clergy performed marriages as a religious moral affair without government involvement. As the church strayed from the Word of God, it embraced another god, one that was made a party to marriage, the government. Today, Christians join together with government under a contract and marriage is subject to a license and a tax as permission for marriage. Even though the government will allow a member of the clergy to sanctify that union, it is only approved if by a licensed servant of the state, a licensed minister who has been granted the permission to perform marriages. In the day of the Word of God Church, marriages were recorded in the Bible, as were births. Of course as the church turned up missing, even births were required to be recorded by the state, becoming one of their human resources and subject to the debts placed upon their future labor.
Today, we find that so many human resources are not needed by government and their corporations, and abortions and disease are used to deplete those numbers, as well as it is a side benefit of war. Of course, there is another agenda at work that goes unrestrained because of the missing Church. It's fruition will include a one world religion. Today, many Christians do not understand that everyone does not have to believe in the same gods in order for there to become a global religion. We just have to be tolerant and accept that all belief systems are equally valid. Of course, belief in Jesus Christ is not acceptable since He did not offer such options and tolerance and compromise were not His Teaching.
Without the influence of the true Church, heresy is accepted within many churches. Where heresy was once confronted, it is now condoned and presented as truth. Jesus Christ was accused of blasphemy because He claimed to be as one with God, the penalty for which was to be stoned to death. Instead, He was crucified. Today, blasphemy is found in most churches and is rampant in government and in society, and it defiles the Word of God. There is no penalty and no chastisement because they are not God's People that are doing this. Their penalty is death without hope and a torment that lasts forever. The missing Church would be telling them exactly that.
The missing Church did not believe in Socialism or any other form of theft. If one was seen as in need, charitable provisions were made for them, but otherwise, you ate, if you worked. The missing Church would not have been deceived by the War on Poverty, the War on Drugs, the War on Terrorism, or any other so-called war. The very presence of those who believed and lived the Word of God kept corruption at bay. Without the Church preaching the Word of God, there has been no restraint on the evil so evident in today's society. As a result, corruption is rampant in government and in society. The real war is a war of spirituality. Both the serious followers of Jesus Christ and of Lucifer well know this. It is the ignorant masses that are the victims of the missing church.
The missing Church was made up of those who had a passion to try to live according to God's Word, a righteous life. They expected to be chastised when they sinned. They understood the need for repentance in seeking forgiveness. They didn't just understand, they felt it. They were burdened until they repented. They were seen as "different,' not like others. Unlike what is being preached today, there was no equal brotherhood except that among true Believers and that among unrepentant non-believers. All have sinned, but only some are freed from that bondage, only those for whom Christ died on the cross, and only those are equal in brotherhood in Christ. The brotherhood of the missing Church were servants to God, not to government, not to sin, not to materialism. Today some churches preach a brotherhood of all being morally equal with different paths to become like God. Even Billy Graham has gone from preaching being born again to saying that there are ways to God other than thru Jesus Christ, yet God's Own Word says Jesus is the only Way to the Father and Jesus Says ye must be born again. Grace is not offered to the unrepentant. One prominent minister said that when man fails to repent, he is out of fellowship with God, but the Bible says an unrepentant person has never even seen God, so there could never have been fellowship with God in the first place. This minister also says we are all of one brotherhood, the human race, have all equally sinned and all are forgiven simply by asking for forgiveness. Which is it? Is repentance necessary, or not? That minister was the pastor of the Clinton's Methodist church in DC. There are only two brotherhoods, those who sin without God's Forgiveness and the brotherhood of Believers whose sins are forgiven by God. The missing Church understood this and preached it. As a result, sin stayed in the dark; homosexuals stayed in the closet; those who did wrong knew they did wrong and they hid from those who tried to do right. Not anymore. Sin has become popular. Because the Church that preached God's Word has gone missing, many no longer even know right from wrong. Those who do know don't seem to care. Has anyone noticed that as the Church went missing, the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of men, also became less evident? That is a bad omen of terrible things to come. Few Christians will be prepared for what is coming because the true Word of God is so little being preached. The salt is missing. The Message has not been preserved in the churches of today. The Light to a darkened world is over-shadowed by the glitter of false teaching. Who is left to tell the people they are being deceived? Who will tell them they are going to spend eternity in hell? Who will tell them that Jesus Christ is the only WAY?
Can America experience another Great Awakening? Will there be another great Revival as there was in England and then in America? When moral values had become virtually non-existent in those days, it took only a few men of God preaching His Word to cause great change and bring about an awareness that only Jesus Christ was the Way. These great men of God pulled no punches and many of them suffered for it. They preached a Message that identified the road to Hell for all who did not repent and seek forgiveness and believe. They identified sin leaving no stone unturned and many souls were saved from eternal damnation. As a result, righteousness flourished and evil was once again restrained for a time. Considering the number of false prophets that are today misleading the people and the distorted Scripture being preached, it would seem more likely that only the Return of Jesus Christ can stamp out the evil that prevails. The true Believer is told to occupy until that time and God has made us over comers for that purpose.
